Originally known as The Seville in the 1920’s, the Bryn Mawr Film Institute is a historic movie theater that was acquired in the early 2000’s and restored to its vintage glory. Featuring two completely renovated original theaters,and two brand new theaters, this destination is an experience for the average movie-goer and cinephile alike.
Created as a community initiative to help educate the public, the Bryn Mawr Film Institute offers film studies courses for adults, and plays a range of classic to modern movies. Local filmmakers are invited to screen their films in front of live audiences during Open Screen Mondays, every first Monday of the month.

Keswick Theatre
Located just outside center-city Philadelphia in Glenside, Pennsylvania, the historic Keswick Theatre dates back to 1928. Designed by Horace Trumbauer, who also designed the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Keswick was considered the peak of acoustic perfection. Famous acts such as Stepin’ Fetchit, Paul Robeson, and Ina Ray Hutton have all graced this historic stage.
Briefly closed in the 1980’s, Keswick Theatre reopened soon after with millions of dollars in renovations. Fully restored with respect to its 1928 original design, the theater now hosts a wide variety of musicals and shows, and has become a premier destination for those who enjoy live theater.
