Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest
When: Through March 8
Where: 101 S Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia
What: Strap on some skates and hit the ice—while enjoying breathtaking views of the Delaware River. In addition to the world-class skating rink, there’s also a scenic winter landscape, an outdoor seating area with fire pits, warming cabins, the Franklin Fountain Confectionery Cabin, a Kids Lodge and arcade, and plenty of food and drinks.

Lamberton-New Hope Winter Festival
When: Jan 18 – 26
Where: Various locations in Lamberton and New Hope

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

Where: Throughout the Greater Philly area
What: Every year, Philly honors the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a designated day of service. Now in its 24th year running, the Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is the largest event of its kind in the nation. Choose from about 1,800 various service projects throughout the region.
