Pumpkinland
This annual fall event is sure to excite kids of all ages! Pumpkinland is a local favorite festival taking place at Linvilla Orchards from September 14th to November 10th. Sort through 100 tons of pumpkins to find your own to take home!
In addition to pumpkin picking, the festival also features history about the harvest season. Other attractions include hayrides, live music, corn mazes, and apple picking. Don’t miss out on this Main Line extravaganza!
Manayunk Fall Restaurant Week
Ready to experience local crops as harvest season approaches? Check out Manayunk’s Fall Restaurant Week, which runs from Monday, September 23 to Sunday, September 29! It’s perfect for foodies and those looking to broaden their palettes.
This is the best way to discover local cuisine in the Main Line area. Over 15 restaurants are participating in this year’s events, which emphasizes farm-to-table cuisine and seasonal ingredients. Fixed menu prices are $15, $25, and $35, and some of these dishes will only be available during this event!
Scarecrow Walk & Design Contest at Morris Arboretum
Looking for something fun to do with kids? Look no further than Morris Arboretum’s 12th annual Scarecrow Walk & Design Contest. This event runs from Saturday, October 5 to Thursday, October 31, 2019 and encourages kids of all ages to design their very own scarecrow! This year’s theme is “famous musicians,” so start thinking of ideas now!
The registration deadline for the contest, which gives out a top cash prize, is September 25th. A frame, straw, burlap and twine are provided, but everything else is up to you! All entries are displayed in the Arboretum for the month of October, so come see what everyone comes up with.
Fall Foliage Trains on New Hope & Ivyland Railroad
The Main Line’s history is closely intertwined with trains, so what better way to explore the beauty of autumn in Bucks County than by railroad? The New Hope Railroad is proud to feature a fall foliage tour, which runs every weekend in October.
Come experience some of the best views of the changing trees in the Main Line area. This is the prettiest way to explore the rolling hills and stunning landscape of Bucks County, which is only enhanced by the fall foliage. New Hope Railroad also offers haunted train rides during the fall if you’re ready for a scare!
